You could probably spend an hour-and-a-half if you did a quick self-guided visit. Combining the tour, lunch, wandering, reading displays, taking photos and visiting the gift shop, we spent approx 4 hours at the gardens. We came for a birthday and dined at the restaurant which was excellent. It's not the largest garden and it's not going to be the first thing you'll visit if you're a tourist, but it's a lovely day trip for locals in the Southern California region. There are a few ponds, an indoor conservatory, a succulent garden, many varieties of beautiful colorful flowers, a gift shop and a restaurant.
